As you need the V5 I think it is intended for checking your own car, not the idiot who ran into the back of you because his brakes didn't work / tyres were bald .....

Thanks Guy I had found that one but not looked too far into it as the first page implied that you needed details from the mot cert LOL. I went further in and found the V5c info - all sorted now thanks

Its for a car of mine that I lent to a friend and is due for road tax now!
