MG Midget and Sprite General - More Ebay weirdness.

Here's an odd couple. Ebay item 230627984829. The "'66" car has indeed got a '66 number suffix but has 1500 front wings, dashboard, indicator stalk, door cards and seats. Looks like he changed more than just the engine and 'box. The Tifosi also looks like a 1500 judging by the front cross member. The rear of the '66 looks genuine enough and the seller says it could do with doing again from the scuttle forward. A cut and shut? If the Tifosi is built on a 1500 donor, it certainly won't be road tax free.

I'd like to know how he fitted the 1500 engine without chopping the crossmember.

He makes it sound like it was just a simple swap.

It's an easy swap.....just unscrew the two little screws on those oblong things front and rear!! Note there's no pics of under the bonnet.
