MG Midget and Sprite General - more ebay madness
http://tinyurl.com/bnwc5gt 400 quid for 4 plug caps? the same seller made 4 grand tonight with some NOS Mini items, 400 for a pair of wiper blades, nearly 400 for a glass washer bottle, amazing stuff. Recession, what recession?

Ye gods. I can't believe someone actually bought them for that price. I threw out loads of old supressor caps a few years ago, including some old champion ones just like them. I wonder how much my old bosch caps are worth? I'll sell 'em and buy new ones. :) Ebay isn't all mad though. Today I bought 4 NGK BP6ES for £5.19, and 4 champion N9YC, went for £5.70 to another buyer. I reckon I got a bargain. Now that's not mad at all.

That is astronomical.

A few years back I had some Static Seat Belts sealed inside plastic bags in their original packaging and I thought I might get about £60 for them. However two bidders from Japan took them to an unbelievable amount which I was obviously pleasantly surprised about. A bit later I listed some New Old Stock gears, again in their original packaging, for a Mini Cooper S and yet again they went to Japan for silly money. You just never know!

yep I thought likely Japanese buyers too....

there must be more Mini Cooper S cars in Japan than were ever made my mate told me that when he worked for a classic car restoration company during the boom of the '80s a Japanese chap bought a genuine Mini Cooper steering wheel and asked if they could find more genuine parts funnily enough they kept managing to find 'genuine' parts to send to Japan for very high prices - I don't condone their actions but it's a bit like prices for antiques to me wrong life values

It's either that or money laundering?
