I've no real idea perhaps 1500 max in the uk and 5000+in the rest of the world. However I could be a few thousand out.
I have details of about 1200 different UK registered Mk1 Sprites in my records and photos of about 1000 different Mk1 Sprites but many of these will have been scrapped or lost over the years.
