MG Midget and Sprite General - Midget for sale & wanted ????
What has happened to the midget and sprite for sale and wanted web site used to be lots of good stuff on there, i cant find it any more seems to have dissapeared ?
D Stanton
Dean did you mean this one? - http://www.mgcars.org.uk/midgetspriteclub/MascNew/SalesWants.shtml I think MASC used to take a feed from the mgcars.org classifieds but it doesn't seem to work any more, I miss it too.
David Smith
It's here: http://midgetandspriteclub.com/?page_id=159 check the three links at the bottom.
Gary & Gaps
No its not that one that site has only a few posts since 2010. the old site had for sale on the left hand side and wanted on the right hand side of the screen and was very frequentley used by people.
D Stanton
I believe it's the same one, only now it's formated differently.
Gary & Gaps
Are you thinking of the MGCC Midget Register site? http://www.midgetregister.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=63&Itemid=59
Doug Plumb
it is the MASC one that Gary mentions; it's been formatted differently but not better IMO; it does not now list the ads in perfect date order, there is an element of randomness which is hard to work out. Gary if you have any influence, can we have the old format back please?
David Smith
I'll see what I can do. Give me a couple of days.
Gary & Gaps
It is actually the same classifieds link on both websites - and, certainly on the MGCC Midget Register one, it just links up like that automatically. Not sure how the link works though Gary, so can't help you any further, I think it dropped when you got the new website (which is really nice, btw) I suspect that the link just didn't get through properly on the back of the new format - shouldn't be a major thing to fix.

Dean - don't do it.... Mods - can you please alter it so that if Dean ever tries to sell something you dont post it for 24 hours.
John Collinson
Ha ha im not selling the race car John, im actually looking to see if there is anything interesting to buy on there.
D Stanton
Another vote here for going back to the old format. Why change just for the sake of change? Bernie.
b higginson
No, not good at all :o(
Dave O'Neill2
Agreed the old format was much better. R.
richard boobier
I've spoken with our web guy and changes are afoot. In the meantime and as a stop gap, there has been a slight change in the way the searches are on MASC website.
Gary & Gaps
thanks Gary, look forward to it. The new searches are still not listing in advert date order - wonder if it's a problem back on mgcars.org, think I might drop Mike P a mail...
David Smith
It used to be the case on the 'green' site that if you relisted/updated/modified an existing advert, it would change the date but not the position in the listings.
