It may be a little late though

My excitement began before I even arrived as in Winslow I spun my Sprite! Oops. I wasn't quite sure of the way to go and a small roundabout I had a last second change of direction from going sort of straight on to do doing another lap of the roundabout. My Sprite didn't appreciate this. I quickly re-started the engine (stalled in the spin) and since it would have been really awkward to now try a lap of the roundabout I did a quick right turn down the road I was first going down anyway, which turned out to be the right way. The road was wet!

I did meet Danny though not quite in the circumstances he originally had in mind (he'll be posting the numbers he plans to use for lottery tickets later).

I also managed to do the parade laps, turning up in the assembly area after everyone else had formed up and only slightly out of order - my H reg followed a C reg instead of the other H reg car. The parade laps were really S L O W though I followed Mr and Mrs Slow in their MGB who never really kept up with everyone else until the chicanes... I had also gotten special insurance cover (in the post still) that responded to my enquiry to say YES I was covered but with an excess ten times the normal amount. I found that strange since parade laps are always slow and ironic given my incident on the way to the circuit..

Steve P - if you were wearing Orange I think I may have seen you!

Cool pic to bad the car is bashed (that can't be the only damage?!)
Onno Könemann

A post worst as pictured. Door skin knackered due to door handle pushed through inner wheel arch seen better days. Windscreen broken. Wheel rims ground. Still drove ok.
Dan Cusworth

ah well, It could have been allot worse. not to the repairs!
Dan Cusworth

Nasty incident!

Looks like you got Druids wrong, ran wide and ran out of road.

I thought you said you were on slicks, yet that last picture shows what appear to be Yoko A048s?
Deborah Evans

The trick with Druids is not to turn in early since it is a late apex corner and it suckers you in (although not as bad as Lodge!).

It's worth remembering that, despite how dry the rest of Oulton is, Druids is often slippery because the trees retain the moisture there.
Deborah Evans

Lovely car Dan and it is a shame you were trying too hard enough! :)

As they always said, to me anyway, after crashing if you dont crash now and then you aint trying!

Pleased youre OK to fight another day.
Robert (Bob) Midget Turbo

It must have been very slippery because there were 2 if not 3 instances of cars spinning on the green flag lap. I think one car even had to be recovered.
Daniel Thirteen-Twelve

When I messed up I was on crossply slicks. The a048s were later in the day when wet...

I think I entered the corner a little too quick- on turn in I just drifted out wide.

Who sells the cheapest door skins?
