MG Midget and Sprite General - MG Midget 1500 1979 starting problem :(

Currently working on my mg midget tidying up and restoring ready for the road, so the other day i was getting her running after not starting with jump leads i was worried but decided i would get my hand on a new battery.

so i fitted the new battery and after 4 attemps she fire's up :D but stupid me put the choke in to early and she cut out so i then pulled choke back out and got her running again after running for about 30 seconds she die's.

i have tried to start her again since but no luck, i put fresh petrol in an 4 new plugs and recharged the battery to make sure had full power! but still no luck! :(

Any idea's ?

help would be great :)
