You know, my first thought on seeing your post was, "Yeah, right... How are they going to get it up the stairs?" And lo and behold, they're stuffing it in the window. Very interesting news, and it's nice to know that they'll have such a tangible, and significant, link to MG's glory days at the museum. It seemed like there was rather little to represent MG when I was there in 2000. -:G:-

Gryf. I went last year and of course the MG room was closed. I hope when it re-opens it will be a good representation of MG. I wonder if they will be able to get any more cars in? I suppose they could take some of the pre war one up the stairs piece by piece and re-assemble them. Bernie.

When at school, we carried a mini belonging to one of the teachers up to a first floor landing. Not in Abingdon though, but nearby (Oxford). There was a bit of fuss about that!
Guy
Guy, I bet you weren't forced to perch a hard hat looking like a boiled egg on yer head. LOL. And where's the stand for Red Robbo, didn't he operate out of abbingdon too? They could get the last striker, stuff him, and sit him in the B. LOL.

"When at school, we carried a mini belonging to one of the teachers up to a first floor landing." -Funny my older brothers and a couple of there friends did the same thing. :) As regards to the video I thinks it's really neat that they were able to get there hands on the last one produced there, must have taken a while to track it down?

The last mgb produced A friend of mine is selling the last made LHD MGCgt, and cheap too for the condition its in. He is gutted he doesnt drive it enough after restoring and decided its better for the car to get a new owner. Where did the last midget go, wasnt it the black one at Gaydon and didnt sell/move it one or two years ago?
Arie de Best
