MG Midget and Sprite General - Im one lucky s o b.

I cannot believe how lucky I've been with the weather, it seems tornadoes just keep landing all around me .... but never on me... praise be to the midget.

joplin missouri which is an hour and a half away just got leveled ...A hospital got taken out and set on fire along with 2 fire stations and other vital infastructure they said the tornado was the about a miles wide .... details are still sketchy .

Prop, what preparations have you made in case the next one comes over the top of you?
M H Allen

Prop,

You are indeed a lucky sole, but more storms are said to be coming in your direction tonight. Best pull down the straps on that motorbike helmet a little tighter before you climb into the Midget to ride out the storms.

Be safe my friend,

Prop,
Be safe. If you have a basement maybe you want to spend the night downstairs. At least make sure you have an emergency radio on and nearby.

While my sympathies go out to those who lost family, friends and their homes, it never hurts to be prepared. Prop, a whistle is a great idea if one is trapped. It's shrill and loud enough to be heard and certainly saves the wear and tear on one's throat should the unthinkable occur.

And store some fresh water, just in case.

Tbh....im not afraid of tornadeos... its vary rare that they are the size of the one in joplin 3/4 to over a 1 mile wide.... most are no more then 100 yards wide... and even those are not that common... with the smaller ones they tend to jump around not hug the ground like the big one in joplin... so its really a numbers and odd game...plus there only noticable for about 2-3 months out of the year, what makes tornadeos so scary for most, is its so random and non predctabilty.... for the folks in joplin... untill 20 minutes before it hit... it was life as normal in a small sleepy out of the way midwest farming town.

The natrual disastor that i truely fear is the earth quack... the entire midwest is built on clay and bed rock... so small shaking close to the surface make japan look like fun ride...and we are way over do... last big one we had 100 some years ago... reversed the flow of the entire length of the missippi river... considering how massive that river is, thats saying something.

So yes i do keep a survival kit.. (or try to) at the shop in a hard plastic water proof box ....couple changes clothes, shoes and boots, first aid supplies, a cooking pot, phone numbers, cash in 1 dollar bills, can goods , and high calorie protin sealed packages and bottled water, cig lighters ,rope plastic canvase sheeting, soaps, and most importantly that everyone forgets... tolit paper, ect ect.... enough for 3 days

I fig the shop is the best... close by, thinnly made so easy to access if its damaged... no gas, vary little electic or water sources so little chance of serious damage if colapse

Prop.... thank you for the consern

Maybe Prop could connect his, recently altered ,battery to a lightning conductor.

Or better yet, have a quiet smoke next to the battery whilst trying to figure out how to remove the screws.

No, I'm there as well. Biggest fear
is an "Earth Quack!" He almost
ran for prezzy. Close, but no seegar.
