MG Midget and Sprite General - Handbook (64-74) Guru
Good news for all regular contributors I've bought a Heritage (64-74) DVD with copies of Handbooks (and parts lists and workshop manual) http://www.motoringclassics.co.uk/mg-midget-and-austin-sprite%3Cbr-%3E1964-to-1974/p21737 so I claim guru (er,) dom I can't remember who we have to thank (blame) for putting me on to these DVDs but let's see if they want to admit to it :) references to the contents may be made in the future (with credit given to this electronic publication) ETA: I bet you're all pleased with this great developement :)

what about us folk with 1500s? You will be glad to know I bought a hand book on your (constant) recommendations to others! Wish the car was in a together enough state to need a handbook! ha ha. At least it was interesting bedtime reading. Cheers, Malcolm

Malcolm, there's a limit to how much knowledge can be contained by one person :) You can get a DVD for the 1500 (75-79) too Buying and reading the Handbook will set you up well for your just remember to refere to it as required you could do a little test by getting rid of the Handbook and seeing how quickly you regret it as things progress with your car or buy the 1500 DVD and you too could become a Guru :)

when I was doing my professional training, one of my supervisors used to jokingly say that if you had a book on a topic, you were an expert - if you had more than one, you were a guru... :o)

Youth these days, do we not have anyone here aspiring for true "oracle" status? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oracle L.C.

yes I've often overheard people say of me " there's a right oracle talking" meanly being a librarian and knowing where to find the information can sometimes elivate one to an expert quoting from thoses sources make one a Guru, I am that one, I'm off to the USA to get followers and have histories rewritten and a new belief system and organisation started and you were in at the begining, don't be left behind for the rapture

>>you could do a little test by getting rid of the Handbook and seeing how quickly you regret it as things progress with your car<< Nigel, I regret most things to do with the car, handbook or no handbook! ha ha! Heres hoping by the end of the weekend my chassis rails correctly re-bent! :-) Cheers, Malcolm

Nice one Nige my wife wonders why I am in hysterics. Rewriting history I think was the main trigger. LOL

Nigel, I'm the one guilty of putting you on to these DVDs and I don't mind owning up to it as I think they are good value (similar price to a Haynes manual but so much more included and all original publications from the works). They also cover all the Marks, some of which are hard to find in paper form now, which is why I bought one for my Mark II. Trev
T Mason
Trev, thanks, as you've probably seen I've been recommending these DVDs I'm not so sure it was wise of you to own up to telling me about them Rob with this new information you may also be thinking of me as a prophet - if so pack your bags we're off to the land of oppitunity

Nigel, Being an oracle, you probably already know this. It is doubtful you will find many follower's in Washington, DC, our leaders only listen if you bring money (lots of money). Without mentioning names, opportunity lies in the west, always west! Good luck on your mission, sir. L.C.

LC, if only my conscience would allow me to I’d go west and return with loads of money And yes of course I did know about Washington without even needing to consult any Handbooks :)
