MG Midget and Sprite General - Free Midget seats
I have a pair of seats out of a 75 Midget. They were replaced recently because the foams were starting to perish, so would be good for a re-foam or to stick in a motor that is being done up or anything really. They come complete with runners, headrests etc. the problem here is i am moving house soon so the need to be gone, but i dont really want to take them to the tip. So if anyone wants them come and get them. If you feel quilty about having free stuff then you can make a donation to a charity for them. I am in north Birmingham and can be spoken to on 07548820344. Cheers Simon. Sorry if this is in the wrong section, i cant see a clasified ads link.

Ditto - I have a set in Autumn Leaf, which are due to come out of my Midget tomorrow. If anyone wants them, speak now!
Ally
I too have a black pair of Midget seats (with headrests) that will be local tip bound soon, unless anyone in Fife would like to come and pick them up. Shame to dump them but they do take up too much space.
JB Anderson
Yeah, getting rid of a set of black vinyl ones in Edinburgh too! -Craig
C Robertson
Another ditto. I've got a pair of 'brown' ones. I'm not sure if they are for a Midget as I could not get them to fit! The headrests are smaller than the original seats and the rails did not line up with my 1976 floor holes. Free to good home as I could use the garage space! Richard

Sorry i can't take any of the seats, but if a set will land up on the tip i would be happy to pay for the recliner levers if they suit a '79 Midge, and in nice condition

| Dave/Keith - Keith - will work out how to remove the handles, and stick them in Dads car this weekend - will email you to get hold of a number so that someone can call you when they get to back Devon. Dave - They're still in the car at the moment, and will prob leave them there for the moment whilst I'm focusing on other more important bits!! You're very welcome to pick them up - and to take the seats if you want them, although they are very shabby(headrests are ok - I think!)To be completely honest - Richards look to be in much better nick - although further away) Please also note that they will not have the handles, as I have promised them to Keith!! Pic below - although it isn't a very useful one! I haven't really paid much attention to the innards, as they are all coming out!

Ally,just emailed you my number

For the purists among us, there are two types of headrests, the early(also called D-shape) seen on Richards photo and the later flatter type seen on Ally's photo. Sorry, but Im very strict in keeping these cars completly original. ;)
Arie de Best
Hi Richard, thank you so much for taking the time to post the images of your seats, I feel realy bad having to say, sorry but I'm going to pick up the headrests from Ally in Berkshire. Lucky for me Arie pointed out (thank you Arie :-)) that the later type would be more suited to my car, that made me take a look at my tourneau and I'm not too sure the D type headrests would have fitted. Once again Richard, I really appreciate all your help on this. al the very best, Dave.
DW Warren
Mine are in amazingly good condition - to the point that they are a different colour to the seats - I suspect that they have been changed. Keith - handles are off, and are also in extremely good nick - Luckily, so are the ones on my blue seat - or I would have been very cross! Arie - I hear what you're saying about keeping them original. I would agree wholeheartedly, if my car wasn't the colour of curry...I thought it might grow on me, but I just can't wait to change everything!!
Ally
no problem Dave. Anyone else want them? Richard
r parker
Richard, I'm up in Durham for the next few days and would be very interested in the seats if they are still free and up for grabs. Many thanks, Dave.
Dave Mckay ('72 RWA)
Hi Dave, email me on richard at e3design dot co dot uk I'm around most of the weekend, though hoping to get to a car show (witton Castle) on Monday if the rain goes away! Richard
