Just about all of our national news coverage and what you get to see is about London or really just small parts of London

Most of what you see about this country doesn't happen less than 10 miles from London

yes very occasionally the other cities or city connotation are mentioned usually you’ll hear 4 or 5 different named places and they are all part of the these cities or connotations

I live 60 miles away in a big town we missed these riots, the ‘80s riots, didn’t have rubbish piling up in the streets in the ‘70s, very few Queen’s Silver Jubilee cerebrations and a lot less for her Golden Jubilee

Yes the cities do very, very occasionally, in some parts only, have problems that are broadcasted forever more, TV News need to justify their jobs even more so now

Nigel, I completely understand. The same is also true for a lot of the violence reported in American cities, usually very localized to certain neighborhoods and not endemic to the entire area. I've visited London on several occasions, specifically the Tottenham area where my wife had relatives living so we are quite aware of the location of the first riots. In fact several friends of our relations lost their flats to the fire. This type of behaviour won't stop until the people in the community decide to not allow the younger generations to destroy what they have built and stand firm. What Prop advocates isn't the solution, but only a further incentive for more violence. We have a similar problem right now in Philidelphia and the mayor who is black has come out and condemmed the activity as an insult to their own race. I think that type of community stand will certainly help put an end to the violence.
The answer is not in the government or the police, but in the people of London refusing to condone such behavior in the future.

No I hadn't Nigel, just read the text and after reading your other comments on the other thread made my comments. That is indeed a blatent demonstration of civil unrest in your fair town, be very careful.

Carl don't be fooled that's a library clip the news media drag out to make things look worse now

It does show an isolated incident that did happen but I think the culprit had flown many years back

. . . unless that’s their off-spring, in which case it proves that it’s the parents at fault

we need to have these incidents recorded and put on public view on a forum like this

Bill you are so correct as to nigels fair town, you should really see the that truly sick video, im sure you will feel the same as I

Its just appalling the violence that takes place...that town will never be the same agian.
