MG Midget and Sprite General - Ehaust Wrap NMC

Can anyone tell me where to get exhaust manifold insulation wrap + sizes/lengths etc.

Looking to insulate a yacht exhaust prior to the water injection point.

I THINK (nb) that it is because conventional wisdom advises that the wrap has a tendency to induce failure within the crystalline nature of the metal the manifolds are made of. Possibly due to unwanted heat soak and its resistance to cooling naturally.

I have seen quite a few pictures of cracked and otherwise knackered manifolds after "wrap" has been removed.

Hopefully a metallurgist will pop along any moment now.
