MG Midget and Sprite General - Dinky is alive!
| Today is a good day! After having my car in bits since last April, when the rear suspension finally gave way, I have now finished the welding, fitted the new (old) fuel tank, reconnected the battery and....she started first time!!!! Next challenge is to try and remember where I've put the seat runners? I'm going to have a beer now. David

| Well done David. Congratulations! Nothing like a little bit of advertising thrown in! Guy |
| Guy |
| Wigley building services...!!! Sneaky :-) But I dont think the BBS charges that much to advertise here on our beloved forums |
| Prop |
| Congrats David!! What do they mean with sneaky advertising?
|
| Arie de Best |
I think they should do something about sneaky advertising!!!
|
| Arie de Best |
But what can you do, its sometimes so sneaky you hardly notice.
|
| Arie de Best |
But enough about sneaky advertising, how about this brilliant TVR?
|
| Arie de Best |
| Btw, my View-vehicle-profile doesnt always seem to work, can you guys check it to see if it still works? |
| Arie de Best |
| Now that last one was sneaky wasnt it? ;) |
| Arie de Best |
| Arie, As founder members of 'spritgetowners-who-drive-vans-as-daily-transport' we have to take every opportunity there is! By the way, would you like to see a picture of me when I was 7 years old....oops! David

| David Wigley (MK2 Sprite) |
| David, a good day indeed having a cold one after a long week at work, (myself I had one to many) not to mention your car being back together to, you must report how the suspension feels once you take it for a spin. Arie, That was "de best" sneaky advertising.. or was it? ;-) |
| Alexander Sorby Wigstrom |
| Why are you going to look for the seat runners? You are a builder having a beer - why not just use the beer crate? Or failing that if you want to be healthy just use one of those old milk crates you have knocking around.... Obligatary advert forthis thread
|
| Daniel Thirteen-Twelve |
| No Daniel, that doesn't count! far too blatant. Your advert has to be "incidental" placement advertising. See how skilful at this Arie and David are! |
| Guy |
| LOL Nice one David However in line with your chosen profession I guess you will be back to finish the job in a year or twos time. :) |
| Robert (Bob) Midget Turbo |
| LOL David!! Alexander, you wouldnt believe the comments Ive had from people for spelling "de Best" wrong (see picture). :) Obviously people who dont know me by name.
|
| Arie de Best |
| Btw, this is what my rear-licenceplate looks like during the day ;)

| Arie de Best |
| That is okay Arie.. When I was in high school many years ago there was a beautiful girl in the same class. Her name was Denise %%%%%%%. My buddy and I would tease her with "look at de elbows" my reply was "yes but look at DE knees" He eventually married her. Sandy |

| When I was at school there was a kid called Andrew Peacock. Now that he's a lot older he's just called 'Drew Peacock .. Then there was this other kid called Michael Litoris otherwise known as Mike Litoris. |
| Daniel Thirteen-Twelve |
| the worst name I ever came across was my old land lord (RIP from butt cancer) named "Les dickey".... Swear to god, not joking ! Everytime I say him, it was a struggle not to snicker... I always called him just lester, Still have the ccanceled rent checks in a file somewhere. |

| Daniel, I bet Michael Hunt was in your class as well! LOL |
| David Wigley (MK2 Sprite) |
| I had a friend called Steele Pullen. Never met his parents but thought they must not have been the sharpest tools in the shed. |
| Greg H |
| Daniel, I think Andrew Peacock had a little brother called Christopher Peacock but unlike his brother he hates being called Chris? |
