MG Midget and Sprite General - Croft Nostalgia weekend

This was a little treat that Sarah & I discovered this weekend at our local circuit - almost like having a mini Goodwood Revival on your doorstep (but a *lot* cheaper). I don't think it gets advertised outside of the North East.

Here are some pics, there are a few spridgets in there, racing (HSCC) and otherwise:

Thanks Tim.

So the red car currently underway in the garage could also go HSCC spec and we could go play with them instead of building the Ashley GT.

Hmmmm, so many choices not enough pennies :-)

Great Pictures.

I was racing my March F3 there the weekend but also race my midget with them on occasions. I would recommend anyone who owns or is preparing an MG/Sprite to consider the HSCC as it's a great club and you get to race at top circuits and events like the Croft Nostalgia weekend.

Regulations can be found on their website.

Cheers

Would have come and said Hi if we'd have known you were there, Grant (particularly as you're a fellow BBS'er and we share a surname...)

Which number car were you as I may have some pics (180 odd didn't make it onto flickr)

Great pics Tim, we'd have love'd to have been there... with the Race Midget... :-)

Oh yes, just seen it on Flickr. My cousin is called Tim also.

I was number 17 in classic racing car, red March.

Thanks for looking, we plan on going back to croft next year so hopefully see you back there.

I will also try and put some pictures up of the weekend tomorrow.

Cheers

Do you know what the plane was, Grant? He put on a jolly good display!

Yes one the highlights of the weekend as it took off right buy us almost vertically. Apparantly it's a Soko but I've not heard of one before.

Let hope for good weather next year so the Spitfire can come out to play.

Hi Carl,

Looks like it's Sunday.

I'm in Nottingham but should be back mid morning. I'm going to see if my Dad will drive it over as last year.

Maybe see you there

Hi Grant

I have been enjoying your photo's on flickr and I notice that in your Midget section there are 2 of my Midget which was on display on the Frontline stand. Would it be possible for you to e-mail them to me. On one of them it shows my 18 month old grandson making a very close inspection of the displays!

Thank you,

Eddie.
Eddie Brown

Hi Eddie,

No worries, I have sent you an e-mail

Let me know if there not the right ones.
