MG Midget and Sprite General - Building regs help, anybody??

Have we any impartial building standards fellows on here? I have need of re-cladding my timber house and need to understand the implications of AD L1B. Any help appreciated.

Clive, L1B - as far as I understand deals with energy efficiency/conservation. Whilst I have not had to deal with it terms of timber cladding, I do know the regs for lofts and roofing.
From my experience each dwelling needs to be assessed individually in terms of thermal efficiency, and I think your local authority will have its own interpretation of the guidelines and how they are applied. Sorry I can't be more help but it really does depend on your own properties thermal performance. I can only suggest you contact your local building control officer - or perhaps submit a building development enquiry form, as the regulations may not affect you if you are recladding "like for like"
