| I see your point everyone. I spent an hour thrashing round the lanes today and 3 hours cleaning the engine bay. I sometimes just sit in the drivers seat and do nothing. I have owned this car for 15 days now and it is fast becoming part of me. In that time I have change the front shocks bushes tyres (several times until I got a size I was happy with, all the wiring from drivers bum to the back, mains big ends and thrust washer oil filters . . . and on it goes. I don't know how married people own these cars!! Car show tomorrow in WIGMORE Herefordshire (thats the village where I live) Old bikes (no not the local women) trucks and cars bit of jumble and some car booters. happy days |

The reason, I am sure, why married people wouldn't have one is that - most of you are men and most women would rather just get in and drive the car - as fast as possible for as long as possible - NOT just sit in it looking pretty - that's a concours event, and, too wussy for words ;)!!! Midgets - more fun per gallon - but hey - if you're a man, why waste the petrol when you can sit in it making vroom vroom noises!!!!!!!!!!!! Actually, being a Scot, on THAT note, I can actually see the sense in it ... :) It's a lovely car, but I suspect you'll need the spanners to persuade that poor engine to work again after sat around doing nothing for so long :( Perhaps the best thing for it is to buy it for the shell - and put another engine in ..... Rach - sniggers back into her corner in a very muttly manner! |

| LMAO - my sympathies are entirely with your wife ;)!!!! OK - there have been times when I've just sat in the car - mostly when I was a kid waiting for my parents (well, mostly my dad) - which is probably where I have developed this phobia and complete lack of understanding ... ;) |

| Very nice looking car, but I'm with Roy & N, half the fun for me is working on my car...replaced the Weber DGV yesterday, spent today tweaking & driving. For me, it's a pleasurable hobby. If I bought a NEW sports car, it would hands down be a Miata...the modern Spridget/Elan. |

| rachmacb!! I was cleaning my engine because I forgot to replace the dipstick after rebuilding the bottom end. I looked like something out of wacky races the amount of smoke that was being burnt off the exhaust. I am a reformed B owner and won't go down the polished nuts thing, thats why I converted to a Midget. on the girly / boy thing. You just don't get it. Boys never grow up, their toys just get better and muckier!!!! |

| I like mucky! and I have done 286 miles in mine this week. Living on the Welsh boarder the roads are empty. So I head off taking alternate lefts then rights until I am completely lost and hit the home button on my sat nav. I have never managed the same route home yet! Sun is out, roof off, I'm off out again!!!! |

| Tolt is good though a bit weird at first, interesting though, but it seems all diagonally wrong to me, far more comfortable than trotting for the boys. Found cable having searched the house, was still plugged into the usb port!!
