Derek, what time will the tour start?
Im in the UK next week altho in Yorkshire (Wakefield area).
I gues it takes +/- 3,5hour from there to get to BMH?(if there arent any road-delays).
Arie de Best

Daft question, but where is the factory?
I would like to come along, me and Arie can make it a day out.

Please pencil me in, I will email also.

Thanks
Matt

Tarqs, its at Range Road, Cotswold Business Park, Witney, OX29 0YB.
Tarqs would be fun if you came allong just dont tell my B&B landlord as he is a bit of a bully and expect me to do dumb jobs arround the house.
Brilliant, now I can split the fuelcosts. :)

When it comes to being a tight-*rse no Scot or Yorkshiremen can beat a Dutchie. :)
Arie de Best

I'll be driving from Ann Arbor, Michigan. What time does the tour start (so I'll know what time to leave my house in the morning).

Darn world has to be so big, or so far away from me.

Ask them what happened to the idea of their making the USA-type hinges so we can retrofit to UK cars...

A
Anthony Cutler

Good point Ant!

Maybe they can be persuaded to make alloy bonnets again with louvres. :)
Arie de Best

Arie just bring some sheets of alloy and stamp every panel you can get!

I'd like all the lose panels in alloy please ;)
Onno Könemann

Geez - I'm with Norm.

Norm - let me know where to meet you!

E-mails received and added to list.
Just heard from the factory POC re. timings etc and will pass via email.
Bob, Sent a request to your work email for the name of the other person attending.
Apparently we all have to wear name tags!
Matt, Please info Arie future details.
Still have several places available.
Derek Stewart

Bob(R), that will be a historical meeting!
Althought never seen you alive or on a picture I have no fear not reconizing you, your going in sundaybest-tweed with broided-on MGCC patches? :)

"to see Arie and "beat him up!!" LOL"

get in line for beating up Arie as the Linconshire femminist are first, according to Rachel(who knows some of them) Ive apperently insulted them manytimes and they have put a price on my head. :)

Arie de Best

LOL come come now Arie - you came and went and even were alive last time I saw you in Lincolnshire!!!!!!!!

Arie de Best

Names have been passed to BMH and the list is now closed.
Thanks for the interest, we ended up with 14 names for the visit.

Hi for anyone going or Derek

Left the details at work but I think starting time is 10.30 in the morning is this correct?
Robert (Bob) Midget Turbo

10..15 I was told. Not sure which way you're travelling there Derek but I'd also strongly advise avoiding the M42 southbound around Oxford area at commuting time.

Pete
mgpete

Thanks will be there for 10.15
Robert (Bob) Midget Turbo

Great visit, thank you for organising Derek.

MarkDJ-glos

What a brilliant day! A tour of the factory, so much to take in, and then Arie and I had a surprise visit to another type of factory the nature of which we can't reveal unless the tour guide reveals it. And I'm sorry to say it beat BMH hands down!!! What a place.

Got back home at half past midnight last night, worth every minute.
Tarquin

Yes loved the day and all the company.

Many many thanks Derek.

Sadly did not join with Matt and Arie for further fun in the afternoon, we simply popped over to MGCC HQ for a spot of lunch followed by a free cup of coffee and biscuit! Every little helps! I suspect Matt's option was far better.

Derek
Many thanks for organising the visit, very enjoyable, and good to meet up with some people that I previously only knew by name.

A big thanks from me too.

I gave up trying to find the after visit pub crowd but did come across this little gem whilst touring the Oxfordshire countryside - it's well worth a visit - no MGs but lots of Cowley stuff, not just busses.

PS Looking forward to being a BMH hose kit test-pilot!

mgpete

Glad the visit turned out OK and thankyou for your support. As Ian observed, nice to put faces to names.

Is anyone going to put up plenty of pictures so idiots like me with half a car and a large pile of hydrated iron (III) oxide can figure out how their shells are supposed to go back togther?!

Cheers guys,
Malcolm
M Le Chevalier

Echoing Malcolm... pics would be welcome! Popping over to BMH is easier for some than for others.

Hard to see on pics thoug.

Any comments on this from the visitors?
Onno Könemann

Thanks for the photos, Mark! I'd love to have seen the place.

Add the photos from Mark to these on

and you've got everything you should require.
