Yep: balloons... but another problem has now been caused: What would the "Boys in Blue" think about driving with balloons attached??!

If drive with baloons attached, they won't be attached for very long unless you are driving quite slowly. Best to attatch them as or just befor you get there.

As I thought .... better show off then and get them filled with helium and keep them in the boot till we get there!

I would be careful filling them with helium with such a light car as you may take off when you reach 70MPH!

Mr. Mason's point taken, with such small wing area I would predict you're good all the way to 90 mph, though haven't tested this theory.

But if the helium filled balloons are placed in the boot, wouldn't that lift the rear of the car causing a loss of traction and therefore forward motion?

I've been given 3, so one under each front wing and one in the boot should do the job nicely. just got to sort out some kind of control surface and then I can go 'as the crow flies' to Midget 50 :@)

LOL - as the boring voice of the committee - I would like to strongly advise that you don't put them on until you are near Burghley - aside from anything else - you'll only burst them!!!!!!!

LOL Bill - I always wondered why you sat on the chair furthest away from me - it's obviously out of kicking range :)!

Talks are by Roy and Mike yes, topics up to the speakers (suspect that Roy might well talk a bit about his upcoming trip to South Africa, as well as the around the world stuff).

Saw my first pack today - the balloons look great - so do make sure that you don't all burst them by next week ;)!!!!!! As things stand, we won't have anymore to give out on the day as ticket sales are going nuts!
