MG Midget and Sprite General - Bad news - and good news

I've not had much time to look at, or contribute, to this BB this year as I started a new and hectic job at the end of last year. The bad news is that - thanks to the new UK Government's spending freeze and cuts - I've just been made redundant! That's the bad news. The good news is that I have now got time to fetch my Midget out of the garage (it hasn't been touched for months). Every cloud etc.

I hope you DONT get to spend alot of time with the car AFTER the next 2-3 weeks! till the new carrer gets back in the way have a great time.

I hate to hear that,Its really sad! Its almost daily I meet someone that has been laid off vary recently...sadly its always out of left field and totally un-expected...hang in there chris and good luck!

Terrible news Chris, one day someone will explain how putting more people out of work helps reduce public borrowing??

I suspect I need to go back to school and re learn arithmatic?

Try and go private - sometimes it really pays off .... There's enough people with decent redundancy payments at the moment, who haven't looked for work in this sort of environment :)
