MG Midget and Sprite General - Attn Mark Boldry - what's up with GAN 101?
I just retired my 2011 Spridget calendar, and once again saw the photos of GAN 101. It piqued my curiosity... what's the status of that project? Cheers, -:G:-
Gryf Ketcherside
Gryf, Whilst I'm here in Australia, the project is on hold. Once I know if I will be granted a Visa to stay here longer or be thrown out of the country, I'll know where plans will go, untill then, it'll stay dormant in a safe and dry place.. :-) Mark.

Thanks for the update! A Midget of that importance definitely deserves preservation, so it's nice to hear things are well in hand. It's going to be a heck of a project, though! Cheers, -:G:-

He's going to donate it to me when his visa comes through. ;) :P
P Moore
It all depends on VISA...
Alex G Matla
Have you tried mastercard.... Maybe even dinners club Haha... Sorry So mark... When you say visa... Do you mean to stay in oz or a visa to go back to the uk??? Its really going to be an incrediable car...ive been wondering about it also How long will it take to do a full nuts and bolts proper restro Prop
Prop and the Blackhole Midget
Mark, dont worry about the visa, they have been shipping criminals over there for as long as it has been "discovered", im sure you blend in very well. ;)
Arie de Best
Arie, Actually, the Dutch were here before my '7' year visa GGgrandparents. Wonder how we should classify the crew of the Batavia? (lol)
Roger T
Well A young Darwin boy has just found an old swivel gun burried in the sand along the coast from Darwin and it's believed to be Portuguese and 500 years old. This would mean the Portuguese were here before the Dutch What a find -- Willy
William Revit
I'm waiting for them to find the remains of a Chinese vessel predating anything else. Should make for an interesting High Court determination of a Beijing initiated 'land claim' (lol) Then again, we could wind up with access to new MGs in our car market!

but they were English criminals. Once they got here they evolved and now the vast majority are exemplary citizens, role models for the rest of the planet. ;) Occasionally one hears of some criminal behaviour but you can be almost certain the culprit's got some english or irish heritage in them. A few more generations and we'll pretty much have it sorted provided we don't have too many new crims arriving and upsetting the gene pool. :) Mark if you or one of your mates could knock off a suspension damper from somewhere for me that'd be great. If you got caught and was sentenced to hard time in Van Diemans Land that'd be just perfect, just bring it with you. lol

"...got some english or irish heritage in them." Steady on Greg, that's my '7' year gggs your talking about. (lol)

Many of us have some E and I in us. One of my gg grandparents did the trip down stairs carrying some extra iron with her. Her method of passage was a family secret for a long time. I live only an hours drive from Port Arthur so I defintely haven't fallen far from the tree. :)
