MG Midget and Sprite General - Another interesting conversion
This will be a quick car albeit I don't like the bonnet arrangement. http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2468818.htm
Neil K
I like the rear less than the front, well I guess it's true what they say don't judge a book by it's cover

670KG & 250BHP is the bit I like But how on earth can you make it that ugley
Onno Könemann
i catch your drift onno.. there's a guy over here that scared a fiat 2tc with a turbo up to over 200 BHP in his sprite but still made it look like this.
|
Alexander Sorby Wigstrom
he at least made an effort (a failed one but he tried) the other guy just thought "hey it don't fit let's put a box over it"
Onno Könemann
The yellow car looks like a modified Ashley front...

An MGC bonnet mould would've looked better on that Honda engined car. http://www.spritespot.com/gallery/toomanyspridgets/rt_lyd6l
rob thomas
Alexander, I would hope that engine would do well over 200bhp as the late factory 2ltr 16V turbo was doing 200bhp as standard in the likes of the Integrale Thema etc.
David Billington
Dave I think you are correct in your assumption. and David I would think so to but I'd rather make an understatement than an overstatement since I can't remember what he claimed he got out of the thing hence I wrote "over 200bhp"

I must be on Drugs or something seriously wrong with me... I LOVE IT!!! The only 2 things I dont like are the Batman/robin windshield, and the roll bar,... but everything else... I dont like the seats also Wow, Im a fan! Prop
Prop
I could make it that ugly without trying Wish I could make it that quick I kinda like it am I turning into Prop? (quick panicky look 8-) .... No) It would do for me ta!

Looks like a nice bit of kit. I don't like the bonnet either, but the front flares I think are very nicely done. Rear end is not great to my eye but not terrible. I bet it's a great drive too! Wasn't this car for sale not long ago? Is it for sale again, or just hasn't sold? I don't hate the Yellow one either. I'm not a fan of the colour, wheels, big thing on the guard, or carbon airdam, but the overall lines are quite nicely done even if it's not really my thing. Tidy up the things I've mentioned and paint it red or black (or actually a dark metallic grey would be nice?) with a different set of wheels and I think I'd like it a lot. Which is not to say I'd do it myself mind you.

Neil, First you spot the BMW M3 Midget and now this! Are you after a bit of something extra for yours? :) Steve
Steve H K-ser
Hi Steve. How are you? I have to admit that a friend of mine told me about the BMW but I saw the Honda based Midget on Piston Heads. Conversions like these always raise an eyebrow and an opinion. As for my own K I am absolutely delighted with it. I don't lust for any more power. It has ample. It's also very reliable and economical. And now I have fitted the FL susp, poly bushes and 360 springs, it handles sooooo well. I can't wait till I drive again next time.
Neil K
Neil, I'm glad your still happy, the tele's are the way forward up front! Slight set back for me, check out the engine hoist thread :( Steve

This would be my favourite, V8, FWD, tax free and still looks like a midget. http://www.flickr.com/photos/albertsbite/2414091931/
