MG Midget and Sprite General - Alloy Sprite in Billingshurst
| Was at Summers Place today in Billingshurst, collecting some unsold lots, and could hardly believe my eyes when I saw what I'm sure was an alloy Sprite body on a transporter. The car seemed to have a Sebring front, and a mark 1 rear, with a kind of fastback with a visible line where it fitted down, so not a one-piece. Anyone know anything about it?. I thought at first, from a distance it might have been a Turner, but I'm certain it was a Sprite. It looked like it had just either been repaired, or was possibly a whole new shell, as it was ground and sanded all over, ready for paint prep. Seeing this car has revived by enthusiasm for my own project, so will now get it out of my front room and back to the workshop....... |
