MG Midget and Sprite General - AH sprite in the twilight zone TV show

Talk about altered states, I guess In the future we all might be using this engine transplant for our little spridgets

Btw... I got this video link from one of our sister midget forums ... so no credit taken by me for the find on my part

The spridget comes into frame at :28 and stays around for about 20 sec.

What year was this thing filmed?

Im guessing pre techno-color era LOL.

found it...nov. 8th 1963... a year before I was born

I have to admit, there is something alluring about Black and white film... it has a nice comfortable feel to it

I made it full screen and looked closely, the indicators are actually both at the right level.

whats eeri about that show, is the theme is about a present day 1974 post nuked out USA, 10 years after a nuke bomb takes out the nation ... remember this show aired on nov 8th 1963, just right after the bay of pigs, and the cuban missle crisis ... but what puts a ghostly chill to the film, Is this episoid aired just 14 days before Pres. kennedy used his head as a bullet catcher

I guess that answers an age old debate... is a nuke war good for automotive preservation???

Yepp, not a dent or spot of rust on what im guessing is a 10 year old AH sprite.

still whats in a nuke blast that cause the windshild to vaporize without damage to the rest of the car. LOL

Since the episode was created in 1963 and this is a MK2 Sprite I think they took a brand new Sprite (possibly owned by someone in the production of the show) and took the windshield off and applied some dusty makeup.

Funny to see it again after all this time, I've seen that episode on TV a few times, like the young James Coburn part.

Did not remember they used a Sprite though!
