Prop

One more time....

I knocked over an old car battry several weeks ago on an aluminume construction walk plank ... And just found the mess today.... The plank is fine and undamaged but covered in a white powdery acid residue, and alot of it....6 feet x 2 feet

I use this walk plank in peoples homes in stairways so i need to clean it completely free of any of this powdery residue for obvious reasons

I know baking soda is supposed to nuteralize it... But how do i apply it

I was thinking of a spray bottle mixed with water but what ratio of water to baking soda, how long to let it set

Is there a better way to clean this mess up

Thanks

I'd start by just scrubbing it with a brush and lots of cold water, hose pipe will be good..

Put baking soda on, let it dry, and then brush it off - and then wash it with water.

HOW did you do this anyway?????

Just wash it of with a stiff brush and lost of water. The acid is already neutralized by reacting with the aluminum, the white powder as product.
