MG Midget and Sprite General - Abingdon to Cape Town
Spridget owners supported Roy and Chris on Sunday as the MGCC put on a celebration event in the main square at Abingdon to officially wave a farewell to Roy and Chris as they set off on their epic journey

I decided to support them both and decided to take my Midget on a 350 mile round trip to Abingdon. After only 35 miles I had a small problem, the oil pressure gauge pipe decided after 40 years to part company with its soldered olive and thus spray oil all over my engine bay and dump most of the oil out of the sump. Fortunately I was able to seal the pressure tapping and once refilled with oil set off again to Abingdon to have a great time with fellow Spridget owners seeing off Roy and Chris.

| Nice plumbing Bob. I love road trips in the Midget, as my mom used to say, "never a dull moment" Are you returning to Orland soon?, I'm living there now, attending law school. Keep in touch Phil |

| Phil We haven't made any plans for a year or so to visit Florida, however we do plan on visiting soon hopefully if our banking stock increases back to sensible levels. :) hopefully that will not be too long as our grandson is getting to the age where Disney would be a majical world. Will let you know when this will occur. |
