MG Midget and Sprite General - A wonderfull Saturday-East Meets West

On Satuday I entered our local British car show. I won 1st Prize for Midgets/Sprites and Spits (OK I was the only entry!!).

I also had the great pleasure to meet and spend the morning with our own Bob Welch, just off the plane from The UK. It's always great to meet other BBS'ers and this was my first opportunity to meet a Spridget owner from the UK.

There where plenty of great cars including the 1948 Healy Westland that Don H. drove accross the US setting up dealers in '48. Parked near a '48 MGTC the Healy looked like a rocketship, Fred Flintstone meets George Jetsun.

Next weekend is the Winter Park show at Meade Gardens.
This is my favorite show of the year, and the last till next fall.

Phil Burke

They have given me an internet connection here Phil so great to hear from you.

Thanks for the great day out and I am pleased you won first prize.

My 2 favourite cars were the pre farina A40 sports!! and the russet Triumph stag.

Anyay mate there is a doctor up here who says if you voted for Obama then seek treatment elsewhere! That's probably cos more than likely if you voted for Obama then you probably have no money to pay him for his treatment!!! :)

Hopefully see you Saturday

Congrats, Phil!

Sounds like it was a great show. Any pictures?
