Ha...I actually have one hooked up to my truck...it works great....ive got the one that hooks into the lower radiator hose

If you have access to an outside electrical outlet and the midget has to sit outside in winter... id certianly buy it....even the dipstick warmer does a decent job.

Great find....i didnt know there was an offical block heater....and the price is good to boot.

What on earth is a "freeze plug hole" is that a core plug?

Freeze plug=core plug, the theory is that the plug will give when the internal water freezes, saving the block from cracking.

I used to live in Fairbanks Alaska, they have power outlets at many parking spaces, and every car has a chord coming out of their grill.
Many use a splitter to an inline water heater, battery blanket, oil heater (drain plug or dipstick)

When I worked in Prudoe Bay we never turned the trucks off!!

My brother-in-law worked in Newfoundland one winter. He normally lives in Aberdeen so he thought he knew what cold was like. Once there he had to immediately buy a whole new set of outdoor clothing as his things were nowhere near warm enough. Then the car he used had to be plugged in every night or the next day it simply wouldn't start. I believe there were even plug points in some public car parks. The British Isles has lots to recommend them as a good place to live.
