MG Midget and Sprite General - A danish dame, with a nose job

Found this nice looking midget on a swedish sales site, car located in Denmark and has Ford RS2000 engine and five speed, looks really great! But what front end is it?

A very nice one. I'll check when I get home. It looks like it has design similarities with quite a few
Gary & Gaps

I think that's your old friend the StarSprite bonnet which you wrote an article about, Gary (the one manufactured in Leeds)

Doh!
You'd think I'd know
Gary & Gaps

Wow that is nice...what does the price tag convert to in us dollars

Clearly a case of a guy that just got married, ....otherwise, I cant imagine why someone would ever sell such a work of art

You know that guy has got to be just sick with regret

Seller describes it as: Front: Glasfiber E-type front från 1970.

It looks absolutly beautifull from the front!!
A pitty it doesnt show any good side shots, Im usualy not very fond of bonnets sticking out to far to the front beyond the normal bonnet/lamps line.

Imagine this front with a frog rear... hmmm :)

Arie de Best

Arie, That's exactly what I thought!

Prop, it would be approx 15 698 $ or 9 722 £ at the current rate.

Looks like one of the Ashleys to me.

And again...

£10,000 for a midget seems a lot, but that is a beautiful front. I don't suppose they are remanufactured, it doesn't look any of the starsprite front ends which a quick internet search finds.
BH Harvey

Its not a starsprite. This is a starsprite

Gary & Gaps

I stand corrected - Dave is right, it is the original 60s "Ashley GT" front (not to be confused with the current Ashley GT front which is actually a modern copy of the Williams & Pritchard Sebring GT front).

All my GRP reference stuff was on my home PC which I couldn't access at lunchtime. Sadly for legal reasons that I can't go into at the moment I have had to remove most of the material from the W&P site - please don't ask for details as I can't discuss it at the moment.
Mothy - '65 GAN3 and '65 HAN8

Mothy bugger hope you can resolve the trouble.

Now I realy need an original ashley front to complete the look!
Once I'll have one
Onno Könemann

Lol yeah - sorry about that Onno!!! :). The MGA would have been sooooo worth it......

Arie

I got it from a guy called Pascal Schretlen, a former FISC racer.

You have mail.
