Austin-Healey Sprite - Tachometer Cable

A friend of mine just bought a 1959 Bugeye Sprite. While looking it over he found the tachometer cable is missing. Is this cable the same as a speedomter cable or is there something different about it?

It's different and it connects to the back of the generator. You need a special reduction drive that screws on the back of the generator and then the cable hooks to that. The cable for the tach is shorter.
