Austin-Healey Sprite - Barn Find
| All right, you got me, it's neither in a barn nor was it much of a find. Back in 91 or 92 my ex-brother-in-law put his 66 Sprite into his dads Egg House (that's the barn part). He believed the engine had thrown a rod and it was apart. The car has sat there unmolested by humans or weather since (the find part). He now wants to sell it so he can work on his Carmen Ghia (so he likes German engineering over Brit, don't hold that against him, the Ghia is cool when it's running). Pics are available at http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2025821&id=1261624180&l=a50de0bc53 They're going to try to get some sill shots but are 700 miles from the car usually. He does state "there is zero rust on the car". I will confirm where the car has sat is dry top and bottom. The pics, which they took recently, do match my memory of the car from more than 10 years ago. The only interest I have in this is helping my ex Brother-in-law sell his car. I'd buy it if I was closer and didn't already have 3 bursting the seams of my garage. Contact William D Murray Jr (goes by Bill or Dean) at ClanMurray79@gmail.com Cheers!! Tink |
