| what the previous should have said was...... does anybody know if a tow bar was ever made for the Healey 3000. I have a BT7 Mk1 that needs one to tow a small camping trailer. Any help appreciated. |

| Steve; I don't know if any were originally available, but I saw one settup last year that was very nice. It was made of 1 1/2" square steel tube , mitred on a slight angle to fit the rounded rear contour of the shroud, so it fit just behind & under the rear bumper. attached to this at a right angle in the center, was another square tube that acted as a reciever that accepted a solid square that had the ball attached. This came out just under the chrome bumper. The entire unit was attached to the original bumper brackets with bolt-on clamps, square stock that bolted from top to bottom with one bolt on each side of the bumper bracket, and clamped the bumper bracket tightly between. The nice feature was that it could be unbolted and removed, and no modifications were done to the car. The car I saw was towing a small motorcycle type trailer, so had a light tongue weight.
