Austin-Healey 3000 - Looking for a 3000
| Hi Folks, I feel like I am walking over to the other teams side of the field. I own a 73 TR6 and spend all my BBS time in that room. But most recently I have fallen in love with the 3000. I am willing to sell off my TR and purchase a 3000. Is there anyone out there who knows of a steal of a deal? |

| Hello Marcello; Before buying into any new marque, one of the main things to do is to visit a local club and pump the members as to what to look for and, more importantly, what to look out for. Club members also tend to have a good idea of what is on the market. Given your address of Ontario, Canada, you may wish to visit the Austin Healey Club of Southern Ontario on one of it's pub nights. On the 2nd Wednesday of each month, it meets at the Dicken's Restaurant at 189 Mill Street, Milton, ON L9T 1S3 Phone: (905) 878-6680 You may also wish to visit it's web site at: http://www.ahcso.com Also, coming up on September 17th at Bronte is the annual British Car Day put on by the Toronto Triumph Club. This is a major event and you can expect over 1,200 British cars, trucks, and buses to be on the field. Check out http://www.torontotriumph.com for details. In my own case, I had my first Healey in the late 60's and sold it to go back to school. In the mid 80's I picked up a '62 MkII BT7 tricarb as a driver and a couple of years ago I got a '60 MkI BN7 as a project car. I have been a member of the AHCSO since the late 70's. If you wish to contact me directly, drop me a line at jstmorris@yahoo.com I live in Simcoe, Ontario. --Scott Morris |
