Austin-Healey 3000 - How Hot is it
| Hi , I at the time of this writing own a MG TD and have a chance to pick up a Healey 3000. My question is ,just how hot does the car get inside . I have heard all kinds of storys about blistered feet and legs . Is there any truth to this and if there is can it be fixed ? Thanks |

| Have heard of many Healeys that suffer from extreme interior heat, but as the owner of a 63 AH BJ7, have never had the problem. In fact on a cool day I put the heater on for my wife. On a 100 degree day it is still only mildly warm in our car. Have used a series of insulation mods, which works for me. Email me at home and I will give you a detailed explanation. A couple of years ago I wrote to British Car, and they published it in the letters to the editor and I explained how it worked for me. If you can get a decent Healey at a reasonable price, get it, they are great cars and are appreciating well, the heat problem can be eliminated. Kim Rutherford. |
