Austin-Healey 3000 - help identify
| I have two rear body shells ( the aluminum skin) I believe that they are BJ-8. How can I tell if they are BJ-8s. |

| Sandy; This will be difficult to describe if you do not have a reference picture for the earlier 3000, BJ7 or 100-6 models. The basic differences are the upper tail light "humps" are noticably larger on a BJ8, and the tailight openings are larger than the earlier models. There will be a noticable flat sided section on the forward pointed ends that meet the doors. This was to accomodate the doors with roll up windows. There are active Austin Healey Club of America chapters in Tampa, Orlando,Jacksonville, and Pensacola if you are interested. Great people. Email me offline if you would like contact information. I am a member of the NE Ohio AH Club. Pete Haburt 61 3000 AH |
