Austin-Healey 3000 - Club stand at the NEC (UK)
| I was very disappointed by the clubs stand at this years NEC. Not with the cars, which were pristine, but by the way the stand was set up. It had a rope cordon around it and a sign which if I remember correctly said "No Access". The members were sat at the back on chairs as far away from the viewing public as possible. If the intention was to give the impression of elitism and inaccessibility, the stand succeeded completely. I would be interested to know in how many visitors (apart from friends of the exhibitors) actually made it on to the stand. I stood around for a few minutes but got the very strong impression that I was an interloper at a private function. Having been a member of the AH Club for the last five years I found it very disappointing. |

| Here here....! I also experianced the same as Gary and as an owner of more than one Sprite and a VERY early BN7, I certainly would NOT be encouraged to re-join the AHC....! Mark. |
