Austin-Healey 3000 - Buying a BJ8?
I am going this morning to look at a early BJ8 and was wondering about the availability of parts. Are there other suppliers other than Moss or British Victoria? I have been looking at the Moss catalog and noticed that there many parts that are no longer available. I have resotred three MG's but have no experience with AH's. Thanks for your help! Have a good day! John 54 MGTF 60 MGA Coupe 62 MGA Roadster

John, My 63 BJ7 was restored from the ground up, using only Moss and had no problems. The car was bought completley disasembled. Anything not available at Moss can be bought used or at the many other dealers. Join the national Austin Healey Club, and you will see them advertising in the monthly magazine. You should not have a problem. K R.

KR, Thanks! As far as I can determine this car is an early BJ8 as the serial number is 154 cars from the first BJ8 in 1963. It is mostly complete but I know there will be things missing. Of the four cars I have including this one two were completely dissassembled and two together. Together is much better! Have a good day! John
