Austin-Healey 3000 - 1962 BT7 MK II Servo
| I am restoring a 1962 BT7 Tri carb. The car had a brake servo unit, which I believe was a factory option for the BT7. The servo unit is a Girling 5 inch servo, with a 3/4 piston, which seems a bit unusual for Healey models. Moss and Victoria British do not carry the correct parts for this model. Are there any other Healey owners with this model servo? Also, I am not sure where the servo unit should be mounted. Is it the same location as later model Healeys (between the right hand foot well and the inner fender)? When I disassembled the car, my servo was mounted above the inner fender aft of the heater blower. Thanks for any help on this! |
